Frequently Asked Questions
How strong or supportive are your molle panels
All our molle panels are built from 1/8-Inch thick steel or aluminum. Although the aluminum material weighs less, the steel material is stronger and holds up to more load/stress.
How large can you make molle panels?
Up to 96 inches wide and 48 inches tall. We can also make them as small as 8×8.
What’s the best way to mount these panels?
The best way to mount the panels really has a lot to do with your particular situation and how it will be used. In general, all panels should be mounted at least an inch away from the surface they will be mounted on in order to securely mount items on the panel with straps, bungees, etc. Other factors that play into how they should be mounted include; rigidity and type of mounting surface/material, whether brackets will be used or stand-offs, and how large the panel is.
Should I mount my panel using your brackets or stand-offs/hardware?
Stand-offs combined with screws or bolts/nuts work very effectively if the material you are mounting to is very thick and made from strong material. Care should be used if mounting to plastic, as continued stress/vibrations could cause excess wear and cause the plastic to crack. Regardless which method is used, it is very important to mount either to a strong and rigid surface, preferably some type of metal.
Once I order my product, how quickly should I expect to receive it?
Depending on whether you ordered your products raw or with powder coat finish, it will take either 1 or 2 weeks to manufacture your panels, and then another few days in transit for freight.
Once I receive my product, can I modify it as needed for my particular needs?
Yes, of course. Many people end up drilling additional mounting holes, trimming or notching the panel, or even curving the panels to match interior or exterior body lines.
